Thermochromic Pigments
Color change principle
Thermochromic Pigments (commonly known as thermochromic powder) primarily consist of three components: Thermochromic dyes, color-developing agents, and solvents.
At high temperatures, the color-changing dyes and color-developing agents remain dispersed in the solvent, resulting in a white appearance. As the temperature decreases, the solvent gradually solidifies, causing the color-changing dyes and color-developing agents to come into close proximity. Under the action of the color-developing agent, the color-changing dyes undergo structural changes, enabling the system to display color.
By regulating the solidification temperature of the solvent, thermochromic products that change color at different temperatures can be manufactured.
